Crew of the Scry

Due to considerable contact with the Revelation over the course of their missions, several members of the Scry have either been transferred from the Revelation or had notable contact with the Revelation's crew members. Below are some of the characters that have been encountered over the years and some of the events that have led to the contact between the two ships.

Name: Captain Irigan Zolmin.

Gender: Female.

Race: Raccoon.

Position: Captain of the Scry.

Notes: She is a skilled officer. Her main expertise is her extraordinary knack for learning new languages. In addition, she has a very influential personality which helps to inspire those around her. Her first assignment on an Exploration Class ship was onboard the Revelation as its Second in Command, but this was just a stepping stone. From her exemplary service record and quick thinking actions, it seemed clear to everyone that she would one day become a captain of her own ship.

After the previous crew had been caught taking illegal actions against alien races, the Scry was escorted back to Terra by the Revelation. Much of its Command Staff was replaced due to their unethical actions, later discovered to be connected to the Black Shell group. With this opening, she was promoted to Captain and placed in charge of the Scry where she took over command along with several new crew members.

The transfer worked well with Captain Hargoyn of the Revelation, because although he felt she was an exceptional military officer she followed orders too blindly and stuck too rigidly to rules and regulations. This fact had led to some conflicts in the way he ran his ship. When Black Shell took over Terra and began to give orders, this fact also led to a direct confrontation between the Revelation and the Scry. Only with the aid of alien races did they manage to avoid the destruction of one or both ships in the battle that followed.

In the end, both captains manage to come together for the final assault on Terra. Even with the help of an alien armada assisting them, the final battle against the Terran fleet caused casualties for all involved. Once again the crews of the Revelation and Scry needed replacements, and more transfers became necessary to fill the voids.

Name: Lt. Commander Boraq.

Gender: Male.

Race: Wild Pig.

Position: Head of Security.

Notes: Previously a security section head on the Revelation, after the initial Command Staff change he was transferred and promoted. Some say that he was transferred for much the same reasons as Captain Zolmin, that his rigidness to following the letter of the rules caused a conflict with the command structure onboard Revelation.

Name: Lt. Commander Nosh.

Gender: Male.

Race:

Position: Head of Science.

Notes: Another transfer from the Revelation, Lt. Commander Nosh was a talented member of the science department. When openings on the Scry's Command Staff became available, he was high up on the list for a position. This led to a promotion and transfer. While this transfer came earlier than some felt he was ready for, he quickly adapted and made adjustments to fill the position well. He's a specialist on alien cultures, and always makes a habit to studying any new information as soon as t comes in.

Name: Lt. Commander Regal Jantil.

Gender: Male.

Race: Weasel.

Position: Wing Commander.

Notes: His team earned their name as a result of their part in the Jawaguar Invasion. During one particularly fierce battle, his team was the only surviving division in the whole battle. There were jokes about how the must've used magic to be the only survivors; and that eventually turned into their division name. Each pilot in the division has a similar call sign (Wizard, Witch, Merlin, etc.). He is a fierce combatant and it is said once he locks his sights on a target he doesn't let up.

Warlock was the former leader of the Ruby squadron on the Revelation. The Ruby squadron, like the Emerald squad, is an all around squadron that is designed to adjust to each particular situation including ground missions. However, after the Black Shell Incident there were several casualties and replacements needed. Openings for new Wing Commanders on the Revelation and Scry opened up. Both he and Divine Wind had proven themselves out of necessity during those final days of the conflict and received the offer. Knowing that Divine Wind was in a relationship with Machina, Warlock gave up his position on the Revelation so that she could stay. In turn, he was transferred to the Scry as its new Wing Commander. The previous Wing Commander of the Scry was hit by a rift distortion of the enemy during the final battle to take back Terra, his entire craft swallowed hole.

Name: Senior Chief Petty Officer Gorean Piltrus.

Gender: Male.

Race: Monkey.

Position: Head of Maintenance.

Note: The main purpose of the Head of Maintenance is to keep the ship functioning with basic repairs. While this can fall under the jurisdiction of Engineering, the main purpose of Engineering is dealing with main systems, updates, dealing with major problems, and other such matters. The Maintenance section is used for repairing minor malfunctions, routine check up on systems, and other more mundane functions of the ship. It is not uncommon for the Head of Maintenance and the Chief of Engineering to work close together, but at the same time they each of their own areas of the ship to deal with.

The Pilots

In charge of the entire Flight Deck is the Wing Commander. The Wing Commander is the department head and when in battle the one who leads and coordinates all the pilots. Helping ease the responsibility of the Wing Commander are the Squadron Leaders, and helping the Squadron Leaders are the Team Leaders. To pilots, the word of the Wing Commander is typically viewed higher than even the captain.

Name: Lt. Commander Regal Jantil.

Gender: Male.

Race: Weasel.

Squadron: Wing Commander (Position).

Division: Black Magic (Division 00).

Call Sign: Warlock.

Notes: His team earned their name as a result of their part in the Jawaguar Invasion. During one particularly fierce battle, his team was the only surviving division in the whole battle. There were jokes about how the must've used magic to be the only survivors; and that eventually turned into their division name. Race: Armadillo.

Squadron: Pearl.

Though typically those in a strictly combat roll for a ship like this it is customary to pilot a Demolisher, Dark Ghost pilots a Reconnaissance class fighter.

Squad 3: Topaz Squadron

The third squadron of the Scry is Topaz Squadron. It contains the Fifty-First through Seventy-Fifth Divisions of the Scry. Topaz Squadron is one of the flight squads that are kept flexible. In battle they are to help where needed when called to do so. They are also one of the only two squads that actively go on missions to planets.

Squad 4: Turquoise Squadron

The fourth and final squadron of the Scry is Turquoise Squadron. Stationed to this squadron are the Seventy-Sixth to One Hundredth Divisions. In battle they go were needed when ordered. They can attack, defend, carry out flanking maneuvers, or do something else to try and bring a battle to its end quickly, but still need to follow the Squadron Leader who in turn follows the Wing Commander. This is one of the squadrons that actively go on missions to planets and help explore.

Team Leviathan

Gender: Male.

Race: Wolf.

Squadron: Turquoise.

Division: Leviathan (Division 77).

Call Sign: Alpha.

Notes: He's a tall black wolf from a long line of soldiers, dating back to the centurions of the Roman Wolfen Empire.  Gruff in manner, he demands 110% of himself and his followers.  He's efficient and fearless.  Unless its duty related, he tends to ignore those he doesn't respect, avoiding confrontation with apathy.  Specialty: Tactics and computer hacking.

Name: Lt. Junior Grade Sunay Karath.

Gender: Female.

Race: Red Fox.

Squadron: Turquoise.

Division: Leviathan (Division 77).

Call Sign: 9 Tails.

Notes: A sexy vixen skilled in espionage and communications, she usually does the talking while on mission.  She almost always has a sweet, bright, and cheerful smile and voice.  She could smile to your face, but if you hurt her friends, lodge a knife in your back.  She hides her fiery temper under a gentle outward demeanor.

Name: Lt. Junior Grade Banna Hull.

Gender: Male.

Race: Red Tiger.

Squadron: Turquoise.

Division: Leviathan (Division 77).

Call Sign: Crim.

Notes: A combat specialist, he's cheerful and always ready with a joke or sarcastic remark, though some of his jokes can have a serious bite to them.  He loves a challenge, but ever since picking a fight with a Kotha linguist during training, he knows his own limits and won't go looking for trouble, especially if it would endanger his team.

Race: Mongoose.

Squadron: Turquoise.

Division: Leviathan (Division 77).

Call Sign: Scalpel.

Name: Lt. Junior Grade Jason Taylor.

Gender: Male.

Race: Human.

Squadron: Turquoise.

Division: Leviathan (Division 77).

Call Sign: Burner.

Notes: The youngest member of the team at 19, he just wants to fit in.  Rather nervous and shy, he'll often work himself to exhaustion, losing track of time completely and spending hours working on a project to repair, understand, or build a piece of technology. His room is often in disarray, with half completed projects scattered about.  His callsign was earned after a psionic burnout at the Academy.  However, despite his foibles, he is probably the best mechanic in the fleet.
