The Purifiers

Setting: Palladium Fantasy

Time Period: Millennium of Purification.

Format: Serial Fanfic

This is a story based in the Palladium Fantasy setting (by Palladium Books), set during the chaotic time immediately following the Elf-Dwarf War. The story follows a group known as the Purifiers, who travel the lands trying to destroy all the dark magic of the world. I intend this to be an ongoing story, and hope to add a new chapter every month (if all goes according to plan) until the story's end. Hope you enjoy.

Original Version

I started this in September of 2013, to help hallmark the 30th Anniversary of Palladium Fantasy. Though I had another reason as well. Not only was I writing this for the Palladium fans, but for the experience. An incident in January of 2013 revealed to me that I needed to develop my skills as a story writer. I'm not saying I was bad, but probably the difference between a talented amateur and a professional. I decided the best way to get better was to write, write, and then write some more. This would give me experience to draw from, let me experiment, and whatever else came to mind. My hope was that by the time I was done, I'd be a much better writer.

Due to some real life problems, I had stopped updating the story multiple times, going months or once even over half a year without an update. I also saw a lot of things I didn't do properly the first time. So I took a poll to see how to progress, and found very few responses. I have no one to blame but myself, and feel it had lost momentum. So I started the story fresh, rewriting the old scenes with more of a structure and planning ahead. I also tried to cut down on a few tricks I'd been using to compensate for a few of my writing weaknesses. Until I surpass the old story with the new version, I will be leaving this section up for archive purposes (and for comparison).
