Mimic
The mimic is a pathetic creature without a mind of its own. It goes through life mimicking others. It is incapable of living a life of its own. The mimic must touch someone to mimic them. Then, as if a reflex, takes on that person's appearance, attributes and half of their skills and memories. Although touching a person is required to mimic someone, touch will not automatically trigger a mimic. Suddenly, one day, the mimic will desire a change. This can happen because it is bored or it senses something more interesting in someone else. The transformation takes about five minutes. Before transforming, the mimic will seek privacy.
Although the mimic doesn't intend any harm, it can often cause many problems. The mimic may do things that it shouldn't do and the real person will be blamed. Since the mimic only takes half of the memories, it often doesn't realize the difference between acceptable behavior and unacceptable behavior. To make matters worse, the mimic will honestly believe that it is the person that it is mimicking. This means even psychic scans will show that the mimic really is that person.
The true appearance of a mimic has been long forgotten. There are few remaining of the mimic and the ones currently living don't seem to be able to reproduce. This means that when the last of them die, their race will become extinct. To make matters worse for the mimic, most people will kill them on sight for the troubles they have caused. The only thing working in the favor of the mimic is that they don't seem to die from age, meaning that as long as no one kills them, they should continue to exist for a long time.
Note: The mimic have no attributes, skills, bonuses, or thoughts of their own, only those that they have taken from someone else. The only thing that is an original talent of the mimic is their ability to change from person to person.
