World: Overview

Few know  very much about the world. Most live in their little corner and never need nor care to know anything more. Even so, most individuals know a little something about the world and the other continents, if nothing more than the names involved, even if those names have no meaning to them. This is the basic information.

The Veil: Between each of the four continents of the world is the Veil. This is term used to describe the vast ocean that now covers what was once the main land mass of the world.

Northern Continent: Home of the Steel Sun Empire. A reclusive empire few know anything about other than they are reputed as having some of the finest steel weapons and the greatest land warriors in the world.

Western Continent: Home of the Kingdoms of Verinas, a wealthy kingdom, and Wyrm, a desert kingdom. The two kingdoms are separated by the Serpent's Spine (mountain range). Despite two kingdoms, they have a well known alliance that has lasted for several generations.

Eastern Continent: Home of the Crimson Empire, quite possibly the most powerful nation in the world. The Crimson Empire is a religious nation that believes magic, creatures of magic, and the gods are dangerous. These dangers should be eliminated for the sake of the world. The natives often call it the Holy Empire, though many other lands prefer to call it the Empire of Sin.

Southern Continent: Home of several minor kingdoms and cities without any specific alliance. There are three notable nations. The first is the Shadow Coast, a Crimson Empire expansion that's considered the "Shadow" of the Empire. Next is the Heart of the King, a dwarven nation built into a mountain at the "heart" of the continent. Last there is the Chrysalis Kingdom, a fledgling nation that is quickly making a name for itself. Separating the "civilized" nations from the Heart of Monsters and Valley of Giants is the King's Crown (mountain range).

Machinist Island: Home to the Tekkers, masters of metal wizardry. Tekkers are almost as reclusive as the Steel Sun Empire, which serves them well since none can reach their island without dealing with the Steel Sun first. While few have ever stepped foot on their island, some Tekkers have left the island. Those that leave use their metal wizardry to enhance the lives of those on the other lands. This is done to help decrease the people who seek their island coveting their ways. Those that leave are known as Tek Kin, and their services can fetch a hefty price.

Other Famous Islands: Merchant's Pass, Crystal Island, Island of Forever, and Dragon's Den.
